Fenty Foundation Review

Hello everybody!

Recently I’ve been trying out the new Fenty foundation that I’m sure you’ve also seen everyone raving about online. I wanted to try it and see what it was like, particularly as it is a matte foundation and I have never used a matte foundation before.

Firstly, the packaging. Oh, my goodness. I love, love, love the packaging in every aspect of this product. It has an opaque bottle with the cutest lettering EVER.

Coverage:

It has medium to full coverage and is extremely buildable. Personally, I find that one pump of the foundation is plenty and provides a really strong base.

Weartime:

I have worn this foundation from 6 A.M. in the morning until 9/10 P.M. and it has not budged. I also found that other parts of my makeup lasted a lot longer too.

Colour match:

There is a huge range of shades in this foundation. I use the shade 110 which is as good a match as my Urban Decay foundation. This was really impressive as I didn’t think there would be another foundation that could match my skin tone as well as that.

Application:

When I bought this I was told that after applying it to your face you should leave it for a minute or two to let it set before putting anything else on. She said that this ensures the optimum use of the foundation. I also bought a Zoeva brush in ‘102’ to apply this foundation which is soso soft and great as a foundation brush. I found it applies best in a circular motion. IMG_2106.JPG

Matte:

When looking at reviews, it seemed as though a lot of people were not sure of using a matte foundation and I was in the same boat as previous ones I had used were really bad. However, this foundation leaves a beautiful matte finish. It’s also good for almost highlighting other parts of your makeup. For example, blusher.

Overview:

This foundation is definitely different from others. It’s is one I am going to be sticking with as I love it so much. I would recommend this if you’re interested in a long lasting, soft matte foundation.
